Cruising...

Well, here i am at my 3rd entry into this and I feel as if I have been neglecting what one is supposed to do when they choose to blog. I mean, it's overly romanticized as being a look into one's life but at it's heart I guess it's a kind of therapy. I don't know, the point is i fancy myself a writer and just two posts seems somewhat lacking.

Anyway, you should know by now that I'm on to a new adventure in life. For years i've wanted to write for a living and though it's far from the living I was hoping it might be, it's a start. As a sort of "second job" I've fallen into an online publication known as Tulsa Today (dot com). I am the sports writer and I have had the pleasure to do a few concert reviews as well. I've seen 3 shows now and attended three sporting events all of which have been documented in the "pages" of the website.

The funny thing is not so much the sportswriting, although previous to the concert coverage I had mainly focused upon hockey and now I have to know all sports. It's the shows. I have to admit I do love to review them. I've seen, in order, Citizen Cope at the historic Cains Ballroom, and Creed and Star Wars in Concert at the BOK Center. They were AWESOME. From a fellow I really had no clue about (Cope) to the hard rock stylings of Creed and their opening act Staind, to the feeding on my long stifled geek in the Star Wars show I feel like I'm finally doing what i was REALLY meant to do in life...paint pretty pictures with my words.

I'm also getting paid in something more than free hockey games to do it...actual $$$. That's awesome too.
