One of the true comic geniuses died yesterday. Robin Williams hung himself yesterday afternoon at his home in Marin, California. He was 63 years old. Like with most who go too soon, either by accident, natural causes or by their own devices, his death has ignited conversation about the demons he faced that was so well hidden behind the genius acting and hilarious comedy he shared with the world. He entertained us, made us laugh, and made us cry.
This one is brief. I am not going to try and make sense of his death. It won't do any good because he will remain in that condition no matter what I say. It's tragic, and one can only hope that his death will raise awareness about depression and the people who need the help will seek and get it.
Goodbye Captain...you are missed.
