Happy New Year from the ridiculous life...

So here it is, 2013.

If you'll notice, I am not bemoaning the passing of 2012, which is a first for me in what? Two years?  That is to say to all of my regular readers that I am actually excited to see the coming of the new year.

In 2012, I found a new love, I lost my job, and I turned 44 years old.  So it was up and down.  Not a year that really stands out as being exceptional except that as I said I found love again.  I have deliberately kept that from this volume because the last couple of times I've written of it in this volume it fell apart and I believe in the jinx.  So suffice it to say, I'm in love again and things are going great.

The biggest development of this past year actually came in the dying days of it, as I have secured an interview with the State of Oklahoma to be a social services specialist.  It will essentially be what I did at my previous employment, with the exception of the criminal element.  I interview next week, and hopefully I can get this job.  I guess it's a sign of age that I am actually wanting to go back to work, but at the end of the day you work to feed the soul, not just to fill your bank account, and this one I hope will be "the one".

Stay tuned, there will be more to come.
