Goodbye 2016.

So in about 22 hours 2016 will be over.

And, as I have indicated before in this blog I do not plan to miss it.

Not one little bit.

While I despise the notion of New Year's resolutions I do plan on making 2017 the year I reverse course on what has become my unremarkable existence.

I greatly desire happiness over the long term and I really haven't had it.

By that I mean, the happy moments in my life haven't really congealed into anything sustained, and I am intent on changing that.  It's time for my life to have a better owner than what it's had and the only one who can change that is me.

So 2016, I am not going to curse you or send you into the inky void with malice or hate in my heart.

I will thank you, especially in these last few days, for revealing to me the truth that no one steers my life's vessel but me, and change is not only necessary, but demanded going forward.

Happy New Year to all of my readers.

Peace to you all.
