Well, I'm glad that's over.

Never in my life, 42 years and counting, have I EVER been more glad that a year has come and gone.

I am writing now some two hours and 10 minutes into 2011, and normally the more sentimental people would be wrapped up in reflection about the previous year but I don't feel compelled to do that. 2010 was not the positive experience that 2009 was, and one here at the outset of 2011 I am more than willing to forget.

Not exactly a rosy picture, is it.

Strangley enough, this is it for the first entry of 2011. All I can say is that I hope that this year turns out better.
